What is Manual Osteopathy?

Manual osteopathy is a hands-on approach that supports your body’s ability to self heal by addressing restrictions in muscles, joints, fascia, fluids, and the nervous system. It’s gentle, non-invasive, and rooted in a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement.

In our work together, I draw from a range of modalities including:

  • Myofascial Release
  • Visceral Manipulation (gentle work with the organs)
  • Cranial Osteopathy & Biodynamics
  • Joint Mobilizations
  • Somatic & Nervous System Awareness
  • Intuitive Listening & Energetic Stillness

 

How Is This Different From a Typical Treatment?

Many hands-on therapies focus on treating only the physical body,  releasing tight muscles, mobilizing joints, or working on specific areas of pain. While those methods can be effective, my approach goes a layer deeper.

I use manual osteopathy techniques that not only support the body structurally, but also work with the nervous system, fluid systems, and subtle patterns of tension and holding that may be affecting your health in ways you don’t even realize.

This includes a biodynamic approach — a gentle, still, and deeply attuned way of listening to your body. Rather than forcing change, I support the natural healing processes already at work within you. Sometimes, it’s in stillness, not pressure, where the greatest shifts happen.

What also makes this work different is the role of intuition and presence. I tune into what your body is communicating, even if it’s not through words. Every session is personalized and responsive to how you’re feeling physically, emotionally, and energetically.

What to Expect in a Session

Each session is unique. You’ll remain fully clothed and rest on the treatment table. We’ll begin by checking in on how you’re feeling  (physically, emotionally, energetically) and I’ll use gentle hands-on techniques tailored to what your system needs that day.

Some sessions are quiet and deeply relaxing. Others may bring a sense of emotional release, spaciousness, or clarity. My goal is never to “fix” you, but to support your body’s innate capacity to find its way back to balance.
